    Plumber in Clifton Heights, PA

Clifton Heights is a tight-knit borough in Delaware County where most of the housing stock was built before 1960. The rowhomes and twins that line its streets have housed multiple generations of families, and the plumbing running through their walls often reflects that history. When the pipes in these homes start showing their age, it can feel overwhelming. We know how these homes are built, what tends to go wrong first, and how to fix it without creating more disruption than necessary.

Mark has been to our home for 2 different jobs now and did great work both times. He has had excellent communication, and was honest, friendly and professional. Jennifer was also super pleasant to schedule with and made sure if she didn’t have answers to my questions she would find them out and got back to me so quick. Their e-mail communication/online portal for estimates is very clear and user friendly too use and understand. I’d highly recommend MVP to anyone needing plumbing work done.

I was in need for a plumber after noticing a leak in the basement. I came across MVP Plumbing based on their excellent reviews and I now see why they were so highly rated. Adam was sent to my home and he was fantastic. He was extremely professional and took the time to ensure I knew what the issue was and clearly went over the estimate with me so I knew exactly what it would cost before work began. He was not pushy or sales aggressive, and I really understood and believed his recommendations. The work was completed very quickly and he walked me through everything. He took a sample of our tap water for free and tested it for quality. Again, mentioned the services/products that may be helpful, but was not pushy. When Adam left, I truly felt good about the service I received. I now have a go to plumbing company that I will not hesitate to contact for any related issues and I will refer them to my neighbors and mention my great experience. It was refreshing to receive this level of service from MVP Plumbing and in particular, Adam! Thank You!

Adam came out to help with a couple of requests. The major fix was adding a pressure-reducing valve to our water main. We were running over 100 psi and now we are regulated to something safer for our pipes! A few parts swapped to stop our toilet from whistling, a new shower head, and a new set of hardware for our utility sink.

Thanks for the help, Adam. You were awesome, worked quickly, efficiently, cleanly, respectfully, and were up-front and honest with your suggestions and the complete cost of the completed work.

We look forward to working with you again when we need to (eventually) replace our water heater!

MVP plumbing is an excellent plumbing and heating company! They replaced my parents 35 year old oil furnace with a new one and did a very professional job. No problems. No call backs. Cleaned everything up once finished so other than the new furnace, you never would’ve known they were there. My mom especially loved the owner, Mark. She thought he was very knowledgeable and was up front with all costs. No surprises. We’ll definitely use MVP for future plumbing projects!

The plumbing in rowhomes and twins presents specific challenges. Shared walls mean that a leak in one unit can affect the neighbor, and vertical pipe runs through multiple floors make it tricky to pinpoint the source of a problem. We handle plumbing repairs in Clifton Heights including:

    • Pipe leaks in walls, floors, and ceilings that are difficult to locate without the right equipment
    • Drain backups in homes where cast iron lines have corroded or shifted over time

    • Water heater repair for units that are losing efficiency or failing to heat consistently
    • Sump pump service for basements that see water during heavy rainfall events

Inside a Typical Service Visit in Clifton Heights

Ray had been ignoring a slow drain in his upstairs bathroom for a couple of months. When it finally stopped draining altogether on a Saturday morning, he gave us a call. Our tech was at his rowhome within a few hours and found a significant soap and hair clog about six feet into the drain line. What could have been cleared with a simple snake turned into a slightly more involved job because the clog had started to harden. We cleared it completely, confirmed the line was running free with a quick camera pass, and Ray was back in business before noon. He told us he wished he had not waited so long.

    Frequently Asked Questions

How do I find a hidden leak in a rowhome with shared walls?

A plumber can use moisture detection tools and a combination of pressure testing and camera inspection to locate leaks without opening every wall. It is important to act quickly in rowhomes since water can migrate to neighboring units.

The most common causes are root intrusion in aging clay or cast iron sewer lines, accumulated debris narrowing the pipe over years, and structural collapse in sections of pipe that have deteriorated. Camera inspection will confirm the cause.

Yes. Tankless models are actually well-suited to smaller homes because they take up less space, heat water on demand, and eliminate the energy loss associated with keeping a large tank hot around the clock.

Pressure naturally drops slightly with elevation, but a noticeable difference usually points to corroded supply lines, a failing pressure regulator, or sediment buildup in the line feeding the upper floor.

Signs of a failing softener include hard water spots reappearing on dishes and fixtures, soap that no longer lathers well, and scale buildup around faucets. Regular salt refills and periodic service keep the system running effectively.
